We were very fortunate to have both Mr Rea and the Open the Book team join us for Collective Worship this week.
The wonderful Mr Rea told us the vibrant story of how Jesus helped a group of people who were suffering from leprosy and made outcasts from society. The story told, through live painting and drama, of how the suffering people’s faith helped them to recover and how Jesus’ care cured them of their ailment.
The Open the Book team recreated the story of ‘Small King, Big Task’, telling the story of how the young King Josiah came across the Book of Teachings and realised that the people had to ‘clean up their act’ as they had not been living with the values that God intended. It was excellent, as always, and our child actors were brilliant at conveying their part in the story.
