The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. Children who have been entitled to receive Free School Meals, ‘Looked After Children’ and children whose parents are in the Armed Forces are all eligible for the funding.

If you would like to check to see if you are entitled to Free School Meals/Pupil Premium please have a look at the following link:  https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/education-and-learning/school-transport-and-free-school-meals/apply-for-free-school-meals/

Schools can choose how to use their Pupil Premium allocation, as they are best placed to identify the barriers facing their pupils and the provision that will support them. By meeting the needs of the most vulnerable, we are enabling the successful education of all children.

Clearwater C of E Primary Academy has the intention of using the pupil premium funding strategically so that every pupil will progress and the attainment gap will be narrowed.

To date funding has been provided for :-

  • Talk Boost training and resources
  • Fizzy Training and resources
  • Part funded TA Salary
  • CPD
  • Therapeutic Interventions
  • Wider Curriculum Engagement

The choice of these interventions was in response to analysis of school data.
